The NTPC Raising Day was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm at NTPC Darlipali on Monday, November 7, 2022. This was the 48th Raising Day of the Power Giant.

The celebrations commenced with the Prabhat Pheri (morning walk), led by Shri A K Tandon, Chief General Manager (CGM), NTPC-Darlipali. Senior GMs/ Employees and the representatives of various bodies were present. Employees and their family members also participated in the morning walk.

Later in the day, CGM (Darlipali) hoisted the NTPC flag during a station-level function held in the plant premises. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tandon emphasized on the glorious history of the company and its contributions to the development of the country. He also highlighted the performance of NTPC-Darlipali and the progress of NTPC Darlipali station.

On the auspicious occasion of Raising Day, NTPC Darlipali awarded Utkarsh Scholarship to students from socioeconomically disadvantaged section of the project affected villages and periphery. A scholarship amount of Rs. 3000 was awarded to 78 students who passed class X and XII this year. The recipients of the scholarship were selected from four categories: General, SC/ST, Girl student and differently abled. The scholarship was given to 62 female students and 16 males students. The occasion was also graced by Shr. Ilabati Majhi, Sarpanch (Raidihi).
